It's difficult to decide when I have enough links to finally make a reposts post, but today I just want to post something in my blog, so I think it's time. I've been enjoying reading my RSS feed on my phone lately but unfortunately I've not been making enough effort to save the links to everything I liked, so we are still scratching the surface here.
Music
- June Chikuma 12/03/26 NTS Radio by June Chikuma — interesting music mix by the music artist, who's still mostly known for her Bomberman Hero soundtrack. To the Bomberman Hero OST fans I would also recommend checking out her 2024 album The Lantern Wheel.
- HE4RTBROKEN w/ DV-i (NTS Radio) by DV-i — another archived NTS show, this time a guest mix by DV-i! A lot of Japanese classics mixed with the tracks from her latest album InteractSTYLE.
- February Mix (Full Mix) by GarageVybez98 — I had this garage mix on repeat for a loonng time this spring, some really memorable tracks in this mix that I still haven't been able to track down.
- DRBM06 - Garage Vybez by Garage Vybez — another garage mix by the same person as the previous one. Obviously I needed more.
- The connection between ringtones and video game music by fusoxide by fusoxide — a nice essay that is suggesting a connection between the worlds of video game music and mobile phone ringtones.
Video Games
- QUESTIONS & ANSWERS JAM (February 28 - April 12, 2026) by DOMINO CLUB — new batch of Domino Club games! AAA! This time it was Pippin Please: Adequate Attorney that has absolutely obliterated me, but there's also a sequel to Domino Club that I still need to play in full o__o
- smilejam by various artists — a super fun flatgame jam hosted by kate bagenzo with dozens of beautiful and intimate entries. It was cool to see a big community of artists getting together for a short amount of time to create something small but passionate under common limitations — basically how a game jam should feel, but somehow only during recent events like this one or Cookie Cutter RM2k3 Jam I started to remember this feeling. Wish we could participate, but we were busy with another deadline x__x"
TV
- Fighting Evil by Moonlight, Selling It by Daylight: Sailor Moon and the limits of 1990s American girl power by Samuel Peters — interesting essay on the changes made in the USAmerican TV dub of the Sailor Moon series and how it all connected to the general media trends of the 90s in the USA. Wish someone could do a similar analysis of the Russian Sailor Moon TV dub that played a big role in my queer awakening.
- Star Trek Title Card Generator by Josh Mayfield — the title speaks for itself. I think it's very well made and folks I follow on bsky are making funny jokes with it.
Life
- The quiet grief of adult friendship by Pranav Jain — enjoyed this short essay on adult friendships, especially in combination with "Hijab Butch Blues" by Lamya H. that I've just finished.
